Hospices de Beaune :
The Hospices de Beaune aka Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune is a hospital/poorhouse of flamboyant gothic style with its roof coved by the famous Burgundy varnished tiles. It was founded in the XV century by the chancellor of the Duke of Burgundy, Nicolas Rollin and his wife Guigone de Salins. Also famous for its prestigious wine domain, the production of which is sold though a public auction every year on the 3rd Sunday of November in order to finance its running costs. This is the well-known Hospices de Beaune wine auction.

Château de la Rochepot :
Built on the ruins of the burnt castle of the XI century belonging to the Seigneur Montagu Alexandre de Bourgogne, the beautiful castle of La Rochepot now appears as a negothical-burgundy castle of the XIII century, altered in the XV century, and entirely restored in the XIX century with its typical Burgundy varnished roof tiles.

Abbaye de Cîteaux :
The Cîteaux abbey, cradle and leader of the cistercian order, was founded by Robert de Molesme, abbot of Molesmes, in 1098. Mother house, heading a few hundred monasteries marking more than seven centuries of spiritual, economical and social life in the christian world, it made Cîteaux a major spiritual centre in Europe.


Clos de Vougeot :
The Château du Clos (de) Vougeot is a renowned Renaissance-style castle located inmidst the Burgundy vineyards, close to the village of Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits. Founded by and formerly in the ownership of the Cîteaux abbey, the Clos Vougeot today is home for the famous vine society of the Chevaliers du Tastevin.

cuisine through a simple but innovative concept : a slate (“ardoise”)

and the chef’s envies. Welcoming and…good!

Château de Savigny-Les-Beaune :
Historically interesting castle from the XIV century, additionally wine
domain, but foremost known for its multiple museums sheltering
all types of engines, ranging from a unique collection of Abarth cars
to an open air collection of war jets and battle helicopters, not to forget
one of the most important motorcycle collections in France with
approximately 250 engines from 1902 to 1960, almost all
of them well restored. For passionate people.
